Frequently Asked Questions

How do I export my recordings?

Open the Audio app, go to the History tab, and tap the Export button. Your data will be saved as a CSV file that you can share via email or messaging apps.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

By default, all recordings are stored locally on your device only. Optional Firebase synchronization is available but disabled by default. You must explicitly configure Firebase to enable cloud sync.

How accurate are the loudness measurements?

The loudness readings are estimates based on your device's microphone input in dBFS (decibels relative to full scale). These are useful for comparing relative loudness but are not calibrated sound pressure level measurements. For medical assessments, consult an audiologist.

Can I delete my recordings?

Yes. In the History tab, you can swipe left on any recording to delete it, or use the Delete All option to remove everything. This permanently deletes both the audio file and metadata.

What audio format is used?

Recordings are saved in WAV format for maximum compatibility and quality. Exported CSV files include metadata and file references but not the audio files themselves.
